Instream Keyword Targeted YouTube Ads


In-stream Keyword Targeted YouTube Ads, keywords is probably the easiest one to start with in terms of explaining how they work because really what's happening is if someone types in a keyword into YouTube, then YouTube and then Google track that.


And it means that we can then show our ads to people who have recently typed in that keyword.


Now the great thing about this is that time period will last for what Google call a session. 

So I've seen that they call a session on a mobile 40 minutes, whether it's the same on a computer or desktop, is unclear.


But really it means that if you've gone to your computer and you've typed in a certain keyword that I want to advertise on, then it means that should you carry on watching videos for let's say the next 15 to 20 minutes or so, I can still run my ads to you because you recently typed in that keyword.


But of course, AdWords works in such a way where it's tracking that data across Google and YouTube.


So this also means that you can run your ads to people who have recently searched something on Google and then have come to YouTube in the same session.


And then you can run your ad to that person who've recently typed in the keyword that you are targeting. And this really means that as you are advertising you can say, Right, if someone's typed in a a keyword that's relevant to my business in the last 15 to 20 minutes on Google or YouTube, I can run my ads to those people.


And so its a really effective way of running your campaigns and something definitely that's gonna become integral to the way we build out your campaigns.
