Re-marketing if you're doing a lot of Facebook advertising, re-marketing and retargeting,Facebook call it retargeting, Google will call it re-marketing is pretty much exactly the same thing.


So should someone visit your website, you can track them with a tag.


That means if someone lands on your landing page for example and didn't take the next step, you can take that audience that went to your website and didn't sign up and run ads back in front of them.


And if you've ever experienced that online, it can be done in a really effective way and improve the user experience. 

But we can sometimes feel like that we're seeing ads all over the place that based on what we've been doing recently, they'll run their ads to us.


And as advertisers we can pick up indicators from people all the time. 


So if they watch, or they get to our website and they go to our blog, we can make different types of audiences based on how people are interacting with our website. And then you can get back in front of that audience. It gets very technical, but it can be done in a really simple way too.


And that's normally the way it works best with YouTube is to keep most of this stuff simple so it doesn't become completely over the top with complexity. 


But you do have website re-marketing that can be very, very powerful. You also have video re-marketing. So should someone watch your video and not even visit your website, so they may have watched your video and then got distracted for some reason.


You can take that audience that have watched your video and you can decide to follow up with more video ads to get back in front of that audience as well. 

Now these audiences are built inside of AdWords and so you can build these people like these, these lists of people.


You won't have their name or email or anything, it just mean more people that have been tracked and will fall into a category of people that have watched your video ad.


You can make a list of those people and decide to get back in front of them should you wish. And this can be a really nice tool to make sure that you can really improve that user experience because you can have it in such a way where if they watch your first video ad you might like to follow up with them with a different video ad and then a different one after that as well.


So you can really have a much better user experience and almost create a story for them as opposed to just being bombarding people with the same ad over and over.
